COCOCERIE Lighting & Wall Art - Restaurant in Bucharest
Known for its reinterpreted traditional Romanian cuisine, Cococerie stands out through a warm, tactile design rooted in memory and nature. The papier-mâché pendant lamps were specially created to express this connection to the earth and tradition.
Inspired by huma, the natural clay once used in rural construction, the lamps recreate its raw, matte texture through layers of paper and pigment. Their forms draw from familiar symbols such as beehives, grandmother’s house, and old ceramic jugs, reimagined as sculptural lighting pieces with a diameter of 90 cm.
Complementing them, 24 wall decorations shaped like soft dough were embedded with natural ingredients, reinforcing the organic dialogue between the restaurant’s food and its design.
The project was envisioned by Cordial Architects and brought to life in collaboration with Lavinia Erghelan Studio in 2024, Bucharest.
